Dungeons and Dragons: On the Continent of the Eshiin

June 25

We start with the group trying to figure out whether or not to leave Nuldezar. They have barricaded the stairs leading down from the kitchen, and made the decision to leave Nuldezar and return to Ukhunholde. Upon trying to leave, they hear two voices at the entrance, communicating in giant. Bill sneaks ahead and sees an ogre tying to squeeze through the small opening. Rather than fight, the party tries to scare them off with illusions and threats. They then talk to Splug the goblin and Ugdug the ogre and tell them to run off and don’t come back, and Kin gives them 2 gold pieces and agrees to help free the ogre (winnie the pooh style). That doesn’t work, so Splug asks about a potion that was on the body of the captain. The party has it, so they give it, and it shrinks UgDug down enough that they can leave. So that works, and when in the hallway, they tell the party that the captain was a bad man and a bully and if the party wants to go find other bad men like him then follow the map that the captain had. Also Ug and Splug are adorable. And they offer to lead us through some tunnels for more shinies. And then because they are SO CUTE, they offer to show us a cave that they used to camp out overnight, and then we made dinner and Bill was all flashy and they were impressed, and then we took turns on watch, and Kiri tried to learn a goblin song to no avail, and Bill tried to teach the ogre how to play marbles.

The group left them there, agreeing to return in a week to be led through the tunnels. They made their way back to Ukhunholde, to talk to Investigator Bari.

June 19th
On Flaming Brassieres

Short of the long:
The party was still in the big chamber in Nuldezar, after having fought golems previously.
They investigated the flaming brazier in the corner, and Kin talked to a fire elemental that had been placed there to create weapons. It was dying, and as its dying wish, modified the weapons of the party to make them stronger and have a little red glow, then it died. SAD.

The party then proceeded to investigate the room, and found writing on the golem in the center:
“Nuldezam’s only true success. Forged with the fires of Gesnimavi (in primordial, translates to Gift of Gadryan, or Gift of the Sun). He shall be The Aegis, Sword and Champion of all dwarvenkind.”

Further investigation found a locked room with a journal lamenting the failures in the room. The party tried to open a chest and it turned out to be a mimic. Kin smashed its head in. The party continued to investigate any place not previously visited, and went downstairs, and found a hallway that was home to two black pudding oozes. They were so woefully unable to fight them, so they ran, busting the beer barrels on the way, and one ooze ate the beer and one ate a pile of feces. The group then barricaded the staircase.

A Bar Story (The Story Summary)
Mild Bill tells a story.

“Yeah… so,

It was right after my wife died… I was running around with this halfling named Kiri – wizar-err….. wizard-ish type, like an energy to herself.

We were doing easy missions, then decided to dive in to a more difficult one. We met a dragonborn named Seeks-kin. He was a pushy guy, but provided muscle and a lot of useful recipes.

I was trying to find myself – I mean, critic turned… whatever, hero. We weren’t ready for it.

There were lotsa gods we encountered memories from, and I am missing half the story. We fought a thief named the Jackal, killed a bunch of the undead… we are fighting an inter-continental conspiracy now to resummon an evil God…

I haven’t had enough. Its real, I’m telling you…

I can’t walk in a straight line… but thats because its… zzz…"

Welcome to your campaign!
A blog for your campaign

Wondering how to get started? Here are a few tips:

1. Invite your players

Invite them with either their email address or their Obsidian Portal username.

2. Edit your home page

Make a few changes to the home page and give people an idea of what your campaign is about. That will let people know you’re serious and not just playing with the system.

3. Choose a theme

If you want to set a specific mood for your campaign, we have several backgrounds to choose from. Accentuate it by creating a top banner image.

4. Create some NPCs

Characters form the core of every campaign, so take a few minutes to list out the major NPCs in your campaign.

A quick tip: The “+” icon in the top right of every section is how to add a new item, whether it’s a new character or adventure log post, or anything else.

5. Write your first Adventure Log post

The adventure log is where you list the sessions and adventures your party has been on, but for now, we suggest doing a very light “story so far” post. Just give a brief overview of what the party has done up to this point. After each future session, create a new post detailing that night’s adventures.

One final tip: Don’t stress about making your Obsidian Portal campaign look perfect. Instead, just make it work for you and your group. If everyone is having fun, then you’re using Obsidian Portal exactly as it was designed, even if your adventure log isn’t always up to date or your characters don’t all have portrait pictures.
